Leadership Profile

The Wright Technical Center School Board is committed to finding a candidate who: acts with honesty and in an ethical manner in dealings with the School Board, staff, and community; has a record of visibility in the school district and accessibility to the School Board, staff, students, parents, and community; is a visionary, creative thinker; has knowledge of technology and web-based education curricula; promotes business partnerships and community involvement in schools; and works cooperatively with member superintendents and the school board to provide options and recommendations.

Career and technical education experience is helpful. Administrative experience is preferred, but not required. Hold a Minnesota-issued vocational director’s license or superintendent’s license or be in the process of acquiring one.

 Salary and Contract

A competitive compensation package, with an annual salary in the range of $110,000 to $120,000, will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. The term of the contract shall be two or three years.

The new executive director to begin August 28, 2017, or as soon as possible.

Applicants begin the application process To be considered for this position, an applicant’s completed file must be received by the MSBA office by 4:00 p.m. on July 19, 2017, and must include the completed online application and the following uploaded documents: a cover letter indicating a desire to be a candidate for the “Wright Technical Center” executive director; legal proof or other evidence (i.e., certificate/license) showing the candidate’s qualification to be a vocational director or a superintendent or be in the process of becoming one; and a set of up-to-date credentials, which includes a current resume, at least three letters of recommendation, and a copy of the candidate’s official transcript(s) (upon hire, originals must be submitted to the school district).
