Business Manager 

The Wright Technical Center, located in Buffalo, MN has a full time opening for a Business Manager position.

Description: The Business Manager will be responsible for the fiscal management of the District, providing coordination for audits, budgets, payroll, financial statements, UFARS, SEDRA and SERVS. Experience with public school finances and training in accounting and bookkeeping preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Qualifications: Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred in finance, accounting, business administration or related field and two or more years of fiscal management experience.

Essential Job Duties:

❖ Work independently and good communication skills both orally and in writing.

❖ Knowledge of principles and practices of accounting and budgeting in school districts.

❖ Evaluate, develop and implement processes for business office procedures in compliance with state and federal laws.

❖ Update, monitor and reconcile SERVS, SEDRA and UFARS expenses to ensure accuracy.

❖ Submit expenses for reimbursement of Federal Funds in SERVS.

❖ Perform budget, finance, inventory, and accounting duties.

❖ Prepare operating budgets, general ledger, revenue and expenditure accounts and financial reports.

❖ Monitor the cash assets and cash flow of the District for payroll and accounts payable.

❖ Monitor and reconcile bank and credit card accounts.

❖ Set up new employee for payroll based on salary from employee contract.

❖ Prepare the payroll spreadsheet for processing semi-monthly.

❖ Coordinate billings for services to member districts.

❖ Annual Submissions and Audits – Submit the UFARS report to MDE.

❖ Prepare and manage the completion of the annual audit and file with the state of Minnesota and MDE.

❖ Attend Finance & School Board meetings as needed.

❖ Assist with employee contract negotiations, providing data and insight to contract proposals.

❖ Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary/Benefits: Negotiable based on experience and training.

Early Childhood & Elementary Careers Instructor         2019 -2020

The Wright Technical Center – ISD #966 in Buffalo, MN is seeking a qualified applicant for a .66 FTE Early Childhood & Elementary Careers Instructor position.
 

Qualifications:  Valid Minnesota Elementary Education and/or Pre-K licensure. Candidate must be willing to pursue a 7-12 Early Childhood Careers licensure.

Date available:  Beginning August 26, 2019.

Position summary:  Instruct students (grades 11-12) in the areas of child development & theory, hands-on best practices and exploration of child career careers. Teach students on how to facilitate developmentally appropriate activities for preschool children. Work in conjunction with our onsite educational partner, WCCA Headstart. Supervise students at community practicum sites in elementary schools, day care centers, preschools, special needs classrooms, and licensed home day cares. Duty Day: 7:30am – 12:00pm (Daily M-F)
